The description said it had a fireplace so I figured we'd be warm at least. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the cottage had had an upgrade recently as the carpet and cabinets looked refurbished, and there was a heat pump. We stayed in the private double room and it was so spacious and warm. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a large sitting room/ diner with balcony and its own kitchen and a separate bed room and separate (if small) bathroom. The makings of a full breakfast were provided as well as various other basic foodstuffs should one want to cater for any other meal. There was lovely garden to sit in, where we had tea with our thoughtful and helpful hostess one day, and drinks on her verandah another.
The lake itself is a few steps away through the end of the garden but the view of the lake and mountains from the rooms is quite stunning. What a sunset! We were two couples, and we stayed in the three bedrooms cottage. We had two full bathrooms, washing machine and a a drier, beautiful yard with a big table, all just for us. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook at home. As opposed to the other places we stayed in, you don't have to pay extras for the washing machine, the soap, the internet...
