Leagan Gaeilge Galway Campus is the largest of GMIT's five campuses and is the administrative headquarters. It is located on the Dublin Road in Galway City and overlooks Galway Bay. The campus building is one of Galway City's iconic landmarks, due to the distinctive three sail-shaped copper panels at the front of the main building. This unique design helps identify the Institute as an innovator in modern technology, and also serves the practical purpose of housing the Library and IT Centre. A huge variety of courses are available in this campus - everything from business and science, to engineering and tourism.

Stockman Hotel, Texas Image: @rachelwalkerimages There's a reason you'll find motorbikes parked out the front of this establishment most days and nights, and its all to do with the country hospitality of this country waterhole. Set in the tiny town of Texas on the banks of the Dumaresq River, the Stockman Hotel knows its audience are drawn to the sweeping stretches of country road for a weekend of riding. To capitalise, they've set the benchmark (or handlebar-mark) for every other country pub with a motorbike friendly policy that sees any rider who's booked overnight accommodation get free undercover bike parking, bike cleaning kit and their first drink free (and not just a pot of light beer either) with their stay. Beyond bike hospitality, you can expect all the other usual country pub finds like cold beer, a dining room serving pub grub and model style accommodation out the back. 6. Farmers Arms Tavern, Cabarlah Considering the Farmers Arms Tavern has been pouring beers since 1863 and claims to wear the title of the oldest continually licenced pub in all of Queensland (along with several others we might add!

Neighborhoods Historic Center The historic center is the main area of interest to visitors. This neighborhood houses many of the main attractions in Peniche, as well as where you will find most of the shops and restaurants. The sights include the Nossa Senhora dos Remedios Sanctuary, the Sao Pedro and Misericardia Churches, and the Peniche Fort. Berlengas Islands From the harbor of Peniche you can take a boat trip to the Berlengas islands. These islands are Portugal's oldest nature reserve and location of the spectacular Sao Joao Baptista fort. These islands are one of the biggest areas of interest in Peniche and, though not a livable neighborhood, are well worth exploring. Activities Go surfing! Peniche could well be Europe's surf capital, and there's a lot of competition for your business at the many surf shops and schools. One of the big pros about surfing in Peniche is that all the surfable beaches face different directions, so at least one will have the right waves at any given time.

STUDENTS AT NUI Galway who no longer wish to take up places in on-campus housing this year are set to be refunded by the company in charge of the accommodation. Students at the university were informed late in August that their time on campus may be limited during 2020/21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, many students had already booked accommodation at Corrib Village and Goldcrest developments in the expectation that they would have more campus hours. In a statement, an NUI Galway spokesperson said that students would be entitled to a refund "if they decide not to proceed with their booking due to having less time on campus than originally planned". "At NUI Galway we are doing our utmost to deliver a safe and meaningful academic and social on-campus experience to the benefit of our students, " the statement added. Students' Union President Pádraic Toomey welcomed the news, saying that the extra financial pressure on students and their families during their families was not acceptable.
