Then, we make our way to a private game farm near Addo Elephant National Park, home to one of the densest populations of African elephants in the world, as well as many of Africa's big game and marine species. In the afternoon we embark on a game drive in Addo Park, searching out the fascinating wildlife of Africa, in our safari truck.

For example, certain activities, like the Otter Trail, require reservations made 6 – 12 months in advance. Best time to Visit Summer (November – March) is the best and the most popular time to visit. Daytime temperatures range from 24 – 30°C (75 – 86°F).
A variety of experiences await you below the tall canopies. There are several well-marked and uncrowded walking trails ranging in length from novice to advanced. Excellent mountain bike trails criss-cross the rolling hills and sumptuous valleys. Both are suitable for self-exploration, but guided options do exist. Hindthausen Knysna Set in Knysna in the Western Cape region, Hindthausen offers accommodation with free private parking. The camping offers a children's playground. There is a garden with a barbecue at this property and guests can go hiking and cycling nearby. This was a camping facility and although basic was great experience and comfy. The caravans were placed around the pond area and very peaceful and tranquil. We would love to visit again! The elevated vantage point of our safari truck offers great views over the surrounding bush and its inhabitants. Addo Elephant Park hosts many of Africa's big game species, including the Big Five (elephant, leopard, rhino, lion and buffalo). Other large mammals include the spotted hyena, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, eland and hartebeest, among other antelope species. In addition to the famous land animals, whales and great white sharks can also be seen along the coast and the park is inhabited by the endemic flightless dung beetle. We camp at a site with shared ablutions.
