Pansea Beach Facts Location in Phuket: On the west side of Phuket Island, past Patong and Kamala, you'll come to Surin Beach first, and Pansea Beach is just to the north, separated by a rocky outcrop. The name in Google Maps is "Pansea Surin" beach. GPS Data: 7° 58' 55" N, 98° 16' 37" E Distance to Patong / Phuket Town / Airport in km: 14 / 25 / 24 Taxis available: Yes Surrounding Beaches: To the south is Surin Beach, one of the prettiest beaches on the island. To the north around the peninsula is Bangtao Beach. Direction Facing: Almost directly west. Beach Length: 400 meters (437 yd. ) Beach Width: About 40 meters (44 yd. ) – a very wide beach, nearly twice as wide as Surin Beach. Estimated Beach Area: 16'000 m2 (19, 136 square yd) Beach Quality: Exceptional – great sand, soft and light colored. Mostly free of rocks and sharp shells. Very few people compared to Surin Beach, Pansea is just better all around. Ocean Bottom: Nice – sandy bottom that changes with the tides. Some coral reef near the rocks at the north end of Pansea Beach.

As soon as the monsoon season is over we will also be able to set the tables again "all fresco" on the lawn under the stars as well as continue with the daily traditional Thai dance performances. Though the beach was closed, we made good use of the pool facilities. The Deluxe Beachfront Villa accommodation suited our needs as a young family. The food served at the resort was excellent in quality, and we made use of local restaurants nearby for good value, fresh Thai food. Personal housekeepers and cooks are also on hand. Amanpuri villas are ideal for small business gatherings, weddings and other special events. Wireless broadband connections are available throughout the resort. The beach is lined with sunbeds and umbrellas where guests of the Amanpuri Resort can enjoy complimentary windsurfing, snorkelling, sea kayaking and body boarding, as well as Hobie cat and laser sailing. The best snorkelling is on the coral reef that is located between the swimming platform and the headland in front of the villas. Complimentary golf clubs are available at the resort for guests to use if they wish to play golf at one of the golf courses on the Island. Surin Phuket The Surin Phuket Hotel offers luxury thatched cottages that are also set amongst coconut groves or near the beach, with beautiful views of Pansea Beach. The Surin Hotel is very hilly and not suitable for young children or those with walking difficulties.
