Linda Idaho Falls is a very walkable town with a Japanese garden... Idaho Falls is a very walkable town with a Japanese garden down by the river and some iconic old buildings, some repurposed now. We missed the Art gallery which was closed by the time we got there but the wide open streets and old buildings are very pleasant to walk around. The falls provide quite a spectacle and the whole river front area has been landscaped into something very attractive. A LDS temple provides a focal point for memorable photos of the falls. It's peaceful to walk along the river and families enjoy biking etc without it being a kids playground. Some of the shops are very interesting with period clothing and other memorabilia as well as 'proper' shops. The civic buildings are great. There are a couple of good restaurants we saw and one we sampled near the Roadaway hotel on the other side of the river from the city centre. Need to go back.
