As it is a usual mountain house, it has to be a bit cold but there is a heater if you need to heat it up (upstairs you don't need it as there is warmer) and every bed has 2 blankets. We slept really great there although the beds upstairs are a bit noisy if you want to move but that's normal for these mountain houses and that is actually what's charming about them. We were in the house no. 1 so the reception and the restaurant were right accross the road and the hosts were very friendly and kind. The breakfast was great: eggs, ham, cheese, hot dogs, corn flakes, milk, yoghurt, butter, jam, bread, tea, coffee, orange juice = more than enough! We filled up our stomacks and had enough strength for the long day:) We are definitely comming back here next year! Right away I was satisfied that I booked it. First of all because, due to the fact that we were coming in the late evening and the check-in is until 10 p. m., it was 9. 40 p. m. and they called us, just to see if everything was alright, due to few minutes to 10 p. m.. The parking was FREE, which is... what people say » a very rare thing in these days. The man at the reception was very kind, he showed us the rooms and explained us all about the staying. The next day w - Friendly and attentive staff, brand new furnitured and well sized rooms, delicious couisine in own restaurant. Bit higher rates in highest season are partly compensated via appropriate breakfast with full of choice and via discounts you can get visiting most beautifull cave (kras) and castle.

i told her it was 7 degrees celsius in the night and really cold in the room. she repeat the same answer with arrogance:" is not my problem if you are cold, use blankets" IS YOUR PROBLEM!!! YOUR GUESTS CONFORM IS YOUR PROBLEM AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! The highlight is of course the Postoina cave - a real marvel of nature, and great for visitors. The Predjama castle is not far away, and is a beautiful sight from outside (we were a little short on time, so skipped the visit of the castle. The caves and the castle are amazing! The only thing is that if you are not able to walk, have problems with stair climbing or going uphill neither of it is suuitable to go and see. The cave is wet and has steep pasages and the castle has many stairs, some higher than others. But all that exercise gets you to see the most amazing places! So the price of a combi ticket is worth it. Do the caves first and then you can come within 30 days to see the castle. It is a beautiful town, which is developing slowly but steadily.

The property is in a beautiful area with lovely walks in the vicinity. The room was really cozy, clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfasts were exceptional (I don't always make it up for breakfasts but definitely ensured I did here, didn't want to miss out). We had dinner one of the nights we stayed and, like the breakfasts, it was top notch. My husband and I hadn't many concrete plans for our trip to the area but Chris gave us some excellent tips and advice and we were able to visit most of his suggestions.
