I am not a fan of popups because they lack the amenities I'd like, Class C's and Hybrids give me living and sleeping space without a huge time sink and the hybrids would be perfect for Mother/Daughter outings without having to deploy anything. I know this is long and meandering and tedious, I'm just losing hope in something I've been wanting to do for a while. How big a problem would I be opening myself up for with an older, well maintained Class C? Should I bite the bullet and just resign myself to a land yacht if I want a smaller camper? I'm pretty sad about this and just not sure what road to take, I just know I want to take one. My daughter is 13 and I know in a few years she won't want to have much to do with me, and I'd like to get some adventures in before that happens. (also, my current desires would included the obligatory best friend of my daughter. ETA: Omg, folks, thanks for all the advice. I really think the Ridgeline would solve my issues. I've found a few in MY price range, but since husband is in the market for a car, I could possibly talk him into it, which would free up funds overall.

I've never been the primary caregiver of a dog (but I have raised ferrets, rats, birds, and other smaller animals). Do you have other pets or are you planning on having other pets?
