Clubs host events all over town (such as the Ibiza Underground and the Bond Ball), friends and family gather in pubs and restaurants in every corner of the city and, of course, there is the exceptional year-end fireworks display held at the London Eye that can be seen across the capital—and is televised throughout the world. With a well-located accommodation in London, you can be in the thick of it all and celebrate the New Year in a way you'll never forget. Last year's London Eye fireworks display was attended by almost one-tenth of all Londoners —so to make like a local, head to the Thames riverbank or to one of many convenient viewing areas set up around town. Because the display can be seen from quite a distance away, spectators can watch the event from any higher ground—like Hampstead Heath, the Strand or the window or balcony of your very own flat in London.
Our drive takes us over the Hottentots-Holland Mountains and into the sparsely populated, semi-arid Small Karoo - inland of the coastal Garden Route. If time permits we stop in at a quirky pub, with the eye-catching name; Ronnie's Sex Shop. The Route 62 is famous for its quaint farm stalls, local wines and its arts and crafts. We visit the Cango Caves, taking a guided tour of the elaborate underground cave system (included in Activity Package). The Cango Caves feature some of the most impressive limestone caverns on the planet and the different formations are quite astonishing. Tonight we stay at a resort in Oudtshoorn town in the Klein Karoo. We stay in twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms at the resort with a pool and internet. We certainly struck lucky with our choice of apartment. Bath View Four was everything we expected and more. Contemporary living with comfort. The bed was comfortable as were the sofas in the lounge. It was a lovely surprise to see a Christmas tree in the lounge and other Christmas touches throughout the apartment. The views over Bath were lovely especially at night with the city lit up.
