There is a swanky bar area at the top of the lobby next to reception that has posh white chairs, black couches with purple accent pillows, and a sleek bar with modern orange lighting. The pools and the beach are just as busy and lively. The central pool is located outside of the lobby and seems to be a favorite among children and families. The ocean-view pool, situated in the back of the property, is quieter but still filled with guests. The popular beach is the real highlight of the resort, although folks report having trouble finding a beach chair in the high season. Flamingo is family-friendly, thanks to spacious rooms that can sleep up to five people and a large children's play area with mini-lounge chairs and hammocks, a slide, and even a small children's pool. Although the hotel is lively, there are no planned activities during the day. Cancun Bay Resort, in the northern part of the Hotel Zone, is a bit cheaper and has various activities, including water aerobics, salsa lessons, and trivia.
Nice hotel with beach connection,... Nice hotel with a direct beach connection and pool. Horrible wifi solution, you have to ask for wifi codes that expire very soon, very oldschool. Part of the staff lacks language knowledge (English). Clean rooms and nice staff. However, it takes too long to be served on the restaurants, which can be a little stressful for a vacation. This is a business and family-centered hotel only a couple of miles from the Convention Center. It offers both an All-Inclusive lodging option and a European Plan. This air-conditioned hotel is 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport and has 249 guestrooms available. All rooms at this hotel are spacious four-star rooms with the security and comfort that guests want.
Nice food! We especially liked the Albatros (yes, with only one 's') restaurant, because of the "gourmet" style of their dishes. The food at the pool bar wasn't really good, but I had the impression they were understaffed... Maybe that was why. Trying the omelet for breakfast is a must (at the La Fuente Buffet restaurant)! The lady that makes them, Gelma, is so kind! And, of course, the omelet that you can customize tastes awesome! As well as the many other choices (such as pancakes, quesadillas etc). When we went there, the service was proactive and polite. Very nice! After I got some soup (at dinner time), I needed a spoon, but I didn't know how to ask for it (since I don't really speak Spanish that well). So, I ended up asking for "a soup fork" LOL. The waiter obviously understood what I meant and gave me a spoon, and also taught me (very politely) how to say "spoon" in Spanish. After 5 days, I was already able to comprehend most of what the staff said and also managed to correctly ask for the usual stuff (such as asking to make a reservation at the restaurants, towel exchanges, ordering drinks, asking for cutlery etc).

I had a room with balcony and see view, that was nice. Beautiful beach, nearby a mall where you can find nice shops, and restaurants. Far away from the city center. But easy to access by bus or taxi. WiFi wasn't available at my room, had to go to the public areas to access to Internet. Not enough plugs in the room. Stuff were mostly ok, but some were a bit unfriendly at the reception and restaurant.
