Great value in what is essentially a wonderfull-located holiday hotel that also serves the adjacent holiday apartments on the same land. So it seems to be regularly busy catering for all-comers and the staff is most welcoming and helpful to all! And you can quickly see why they come to the hotel - the food is wonderful and great value. The proprietor, Mark, told us that his chef is worth it and we can certainly vouch for that. Otherwise, the hotel is clearly catering for a holiday market, families included and the bedrooms share a great view over the Barley Cove beaches. Another place to spend some time, just down the road, is Mizen Head, on Ireland's southwesterly extremity, its lighthouse and visitor centre.

We hit upon Roseberry Cottage at the Oaks in Lilydale as our abode for 9 weeks in the area, where we came to attend the wedding of our niece in nearby Olinda in the Dandenongs.
