Correct me if I'm wrong, but they all seem to have the same end goal in mind and taking different approaches each with their own pros/cons! Why not take the best features of each one and merge into one good implementation for that goal? And in cases where goal is not the same but functionality overlaps like in Latte / Plasma Panels, separate the functionality and put in where best appropriate. Why not make Latte focus on being the best and most simple dock out there and save Panels for OS / application interaction? Better "Full Screen" functionality: First time I tried to full screen a window I got this scary little warning message saying something like " If you can't get out of this later on, just remember to press this key combination "! It was like giving a safe word to someone before doing something horrible to them! 😅 I dismissed the message without reading the shortcut assuming I could easily get out of there by hovering the cursor and getting the top bar back. I was wrong! I constantly pressed "Esc" and moved my mouse around like crazy crying for help like a panicked hostage that forgot the safe word and kept banging on the prison walls!
